RBC - Direct Investing Sync Help

If you're not able to sync, the connection attempt may have been blocked with their "Sign in Protection". In this case, you have to unlock it with your RBC Mobile App.


Steps to follow if you are having difficulties syncing your RBC Direct Investing account:


1- Start by trying to Sync your RBC Direct Investing as usual

2- Answer the security question or 2FA code as prompted

3a- If your account syncs - it’s finished!


3b - If it does not sync, follow these steps:


4- Log-on to the RBC Website or mobile app for a "sign-in protection" and confirm it was you



5- You may also want to verify that all agreements have been accepted:


It's possible some agreements inside your RBC account are pending approval which causes some problems for Wealthica to sync. To allow Wealthica to import your data from RBC Direct Investing, you will need to double check you have accepted the RBC "Exchanges Agreements".

 
You will find the agreements by logging in to RBC Direct Investing site, click Edit Profile (top right), and see "Manage Canadian and U.S. Exchange Agreements " near the bottom of the page (see attached screenshot). Make sure you have accepted all RBC Exchange Agreements. Once accepted you will need to re-establish the connection with RBC by clicking the "Fix It" badge next to your RBC account in the Institutions table on the Wealthica Dashboard.



After confirming that it was you and accepting all agreements, you can go back to Wealthica and re-start the sync process.
